NGC 7209 

AMMASSO STELLARE

NGC 7209 è un ammasso stellare aperto che si trova immerso nella Via Lattea, nella costellazione della Lucertola.

è un giovane ammasso di tipo III  avente un' età stimata di 410 milioni di anni ed è composto quindi prevalentemente da stelle di colore bianco-blu.

Lo si trova alle seguenti coordinate:

NGC 7209 is an open star cluster which is immersed in the Milky Way in the constellation of the Lizard. 

is a young cluster of type III having an 'estimated age of 410 million years and is therefore composed mainly of blue-white stars. 

It can be found at the following coordinates: 

RA: 22h 05m 07s 

DEC: +46 ° 29 '00''

L'ammasso si compone di circa 100 stelle e presenta una magnitudine apparente di 7,7 ed una dimensione apparente di 25,0' x 25,0', distante dalla Terra circa 3810 anni-luce.

All'interno ed adiacente a NGC 7209 ci sono due stelle variabili facilmente individuabili per la loro bassa magnitudine:

SS Lac e HT Lac.

The cluster consists of about 100 stars and has an apparent magnitude of 7.7 and an apparent size of 25.0 'x 25.0', distant from the Earth about 3810 years-light. 

Within and adjacent to NGC 7209 variable stars, there are two easily identifiable by their low magnitude: 

HT SS Lac and Lac.

SS Lac è una stella variabile che si trova alle coordinare 22h04m41,54s ; +46°25'38.1'' di tipo EA/D composta ca due stelle indipendenti che non riempono i lobi interni di Roche.

è un sistema ad eclisse tipo beta Persei nel quale i componenti sono sferici o leggermente ellissoidali.

Grazie alla curva di luce, è possibile specificare con esattezza i momenti di inizio e di fine eclissi.

Questa stella è di classe spettrale B7 ed una magnitudine compresa tra 10,1 e 10,5 V con un periodo di 14,416 giorni.

SS Lac is a variable star that is located at the coordinate 22h04m41, 54s; +46 ° 25'38 .1'' type of EA / D consists of approximately two star independent which does not fill the inner lobes of Roche.

Questa stella è di classe spettrale M4IIIab ed un magnitudine compresa tra 6,08 e 6,36 V con un periodo medio di 82 giorni.

HT Lac is a giant variable star that is located at the coordinate 22h05m16, 49s; +46 ° 44'41 .40''-type semi-regular intervals alternating with periodic irregular. 
This star is of spectral class M4IIIab and a magnitude of between 6.08 and 6.36 V with an average period of 82 days.
