α Bootis

Arturo, la stella  α della costellazione di Boote, è una gigante arancione di tipo spettrale K1,5 IIIpe e con la sua notevole magnitudine apparente di -0.04 risulta essere la stella più splendente dell'emisfero boreale e la quarta più luminosa dell'intero cielo.

E' facilmente individuabile ad occhio nudo ed è rintracciabile prolungando una linea immaginaria dal timone dell' Orsa Maggiore verso Sud.

La temperatura superficiale di Arturo è inferiore a quella del nostro Sole con 4300 °K che è di 5800° K e perciò ha un caratteristico colore arancio.

Arturo essendo una stella gigante ha una raggio medio di 25,5 rispetto a quello solare e ciò la rende molto grande rispetto al Sole, infatti se fosse posta all'interno del Sistema Solare, occuperebbe 1/4 dell' orbita di Mercurio.

La foto di Arturo l'ho scattata nella notte del 21/05/2014 dal giardino della mia casa in una zona della periferia di Treviso, a fuoco diretto con il telescopio Newton Celestron C8 su montatura HEQ5 Pro e Reflex D5000.
La foto è risultato di 2 frame da 60 sec a 800ISO, 30 dark e 7 flat.

The pictures I have taken of the Arturo on the night of 21.05.2014 from the garden of my house in an area on the outskirts of Treviso, direct fire with the Newtonian telescope Celestron C8 on HEQ5 Pro mount and SLR D5000. 
The photo is the result of 2 frame from 60sec to 800iso, 30 dark and 7 flat.
