BETELGEUSE

Betelgeuse è una stella supergigante rossa variabile di tipo spettrale M1-2 lab, molto luminosa che si trova nella costellazione di Orione

La si identifica facilmente anche in un cielo fortemente inquinato e la si può osservare in tutto il suo splendore nei mesi invernali, da Gennaio a Febbraio.

Betelgeuse is a red supergiant variable star of spectral type M1-2 lab, very bright which is located in the constellation of Orion 

This should be easily identifiable even in a heavily polluted sky and can be seen in all its splendor in the winter months, from January to February.

Ha una magnitudine media  di 0,58 la quale la inserisce nella top ten delle stelle più luminose della cielo.

Si trova a 650 anni-luce dalla Terra.

Il suo diametro, misurato direttamente con metodo interferometrici, è 800 volte quello del Sole, corrispondente a circa 4,5 unità astronomiche.

La sua variabilità varia in un periodo compreso tra 2070 e 2355 giorni

Tra qualche milione di anni diventerà una supernova e vista la sua "vicinanza" di 640 anni-luce apparirà luminosa 1/4 della Luna e potrà essere vista anche di giorno. 

It has an average magnitude of 0.58 which puts it in the top ten of the brightest stars in the sky. 

It is located 650 light-years from Earth. 

Its diameter, measured directly with interferometric method is 800 times that of the Sun, corresponding to about 4.5 astronomical units. 

Its variability varies in a period between 2070 and 2355 days

Le foto che ho eseguito e che trovate, le ho scattate nella notte del 26/11/2013 dal giardino della mia casa in una zona della periferia di Treviso, a fuoco diretto con il telescopio Newton Celstron C8 su montatura HEQ5 Pro e Reflex D5000.
Le foto sono il risultato di 1 frame da 60'', 1 dark da 60'' e 30 bias da ISO800

The pictures that I run and find that, I've taken on the night of 26.11.2013 from the garden of my house in an area on the outskirts of Treviso, with the direct fire telescope Newton Celstron C8 on HEQ5 Pro mount and SLR D5000. 
The photos are the result of 1 frame 60'', 60'' and 1 dark 30 bias ISO800
