GALASSIA GIRASOLE

M63 è una galassia a spirale conosciuta anche come NGC 5055 e come "Galassia Girasole" vista la sua somiglianza.
Questa magnifica galassia si trova nella costellazione dei Cani da Caccia alle coordinate:

M63 is a spiral galaxy known as NGC 5055 and as "Sunflower Galaxy" due to its resemblance. 
This magnificent galaxy is in the constellation of the Hunting Dogs coordinates:

DEC:   +42° 01' 46.5''

M63 è distante dalla Terra 37 milioni di anni luce ed ha dimensioni molto simili alla nostra Via Lattea, circa 90000 anni luce.

La Galassia Girasole non è di facilissima osservazione visuale con telescopi inferiori ai 150mm vista la sua magnitudine di 9,3 e dimensioni apparenti di 10'x6'.

M63 is at a distance from Earth of 37 million light years and its dimensions are very similar to our Milky Way, about 90,000 light years.
The Sunflower Galaxy is not very easy visual observation with telescopes of less than 150mm having regard to its magnitude of 9.3 and apparent size of 10'x6 '

M63 è una galassia a spirale del tipo Sb o Sc in cui le braccia sono molto più estese del nucleo con una grande quantità di gas e polveri avente una popolazione di stelle vecchie e stelle giovani disposte in maniera ordinate ed equilibrata.

Nel maggio del 1971 è stata osservata una supernova di tipo Ia tra le braccia di M63 che raggiunse la magnitudine di 11,8.

M63 is a spiral galaxy of type Sb or Sc in which the arms are much more extensive in the nucleus with a large amount of gas and dust having a population of old stars and young stars arranged in an ordered and balanced.

In May 1971, there was a Type Ia supernova in the arms of M63 which reached magnitude 11.8

La foto di M63 l'ho scattata nella notte del 09/06/2014 dal giardino della mia casa in una zona della periferia di Treviso, a fuoco diretto con il telescopio Newton Celestron C8 su montatura HEQ5 Pro e Reflex D5000.
La foto è risultato di 25 frame da 60 sec a 800ISO, 12 dark e 21 flat

The photo of the M63 I have taken on the night of 06.09.2014 from the garden of my house in an area on the outskirts of Treviso, direct fire with the Newton telescope Celestron C8 on HEQ5 Pro mount and SLR D5000. 

The photo is the result of 25 frames from 60 sec to 800ISO, 12 dark and 21 flat
