M51 
GALASSIA VORTICE

M51 è un insieme di due galassie interagenti distinte che si trovano nella costellazione dei Cani da Caccia.
La galassia più grande ed appariscente è anche chiamata NGC 5194 ed è una tipica galassia a spirale, mentre la galassia più piccola è chiamata anche NGC 5195 ed è collegata alla galassia madre attraverso un braccio di polvere.

M51 is a set of two distinct interacting galaxies found in the constellation of the Hunting Dogs. 
The larger galaxy and showy is also called NGC 5194 and is a typical spiral galaxy, while the smaller galaxy is also called NGC 5195 and is connected to the parent galaxy through an arm of dust.

e distante 31 milioni di anni-luce con una magnitudine apparente di 9,0 e dimensioni apparenti di 11,2' x 6,9' mentre le dimensioni reali dovrebbero essere di circa 100000 anni-luce.

M51 is located at coordinates

DEC + 47 ° 11 '43' '

and is 31 million light-years with an apparent magnitude of 9.0 and apparent size of 11.2 'x 6.9' while the real size should be about 100,000 light-years.

La foto di M51 l'ho scattata nella notte del 09/06/2014 dal giardino della mia casa in una zona della periferia di Treviso, a fuoco diretto con il telescopio Newton Celestron C8 su montatura HEQ5 Pro e Reflex D5000.
La foto è risultato di 21 frame da 60 sec a 800ISO, 12 dark e 21 flat

The photo of the M51 I have taken on the night of 06.09.2014 from the garden of my house in an area on the outskirts of Treviso, direct fire with the Newton telescope Celestron C8 on HEQ5 Pro mount and SLR D5000. 
The photo is the result of 21 frames from 60 sec to 800ISO, 12 dark and 21 flat

Come si vede dalla foto, che ho fatto e postato, si nota che la maggior parte della luminosità di M51 è dovuta alla presenza di giovani ammassi stellari posti nei bracci della galassia, mentre il tenue braccio che lega le due galassie è composto da gal e polvere .

Ad oggi sono state osservate e studiate tre supernove:

• nel 1994 di 13,5 magnitudine 
• nel 1995 di 14,0 magnitudine
• nel 2011 di 14,0 magnitudine

As you can see from the picture, I've done and posted, you will notice that most of the luminosity of M51 is due to the presence of young star clusters placed in the arms of the galaxy, while the soft arm that binds the two galaxies is composed of gal and powder. 

To date, have been observed and studied three supernovae: 

in 1994 to 13.5 mag 

in 1995 to 14.0 mag 

in 2011 to 14.0 mag
